SAGAMU FIRE DISASTER VICTIMS RECEIVE CASH, RELIEF MATERIALS

Ogun State Government has identified with traders at Sabo market, Sagamu that lost their goods and other property worths millions of naira to fire disaster by giving them cash donations and other relief materials.
During the distribution, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo stated that a healthy person will not only be easy to govern, but will also contribute to the successful implementation of the 'building our future' agenda and continued development of the state.
While he admitted that no volume of cash and materials could heal the victims' psychological trauma, Govenrnor Abiodun implored the beneficiaries to consider the donation as a relief to their plights.
He lauded the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi for his fatherly role while the assessment of the level of damages at the burnt market lasted, assuring that preparation to rebuild the market was on top gear.
In his remarks, a member Ogun State House of Assembly representing Sagamu constituency I and Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye who donated 1,000 pieces of block to rebuild the market's fence to aid security described Sabo market as a big and very important market in Remoland.
He applauded the government for the palliatives put up on some roads in the community, urging government to continue in the act and extend the gesture to Sabo GRA road as well.
Earlier in his welcome address, The Chairman Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Banjo, stated that the materials and cash donations would go a long way at ameliorating the plights of the victims, imploring traders to keep supporting the government.
Beneficiaries of the relief materials, Mr Oladokun Yinusa and Mrs Rosemary Eze, thanked Prince Dapo Abiodun supporting them with the relief materials and cash during the challenging period.
Items donated bags of rice, garri, salt, sugar, cartons of noodles, carton of spaghetti as well as cash.
