PROMOTE POSITIVE SEXUAL HEALTH HABITS ADMITS COVID 19 PANDEMIC - PS URGED WOMEN.
As part of efforts to mark this year's World Sexual Health Day, women and girl child has being urged to break down social and cultural taboos associated with asexuality in order to promote positive sexual health habits amidst covid 19 pandemic.
Dr. Ranti Oladeinde, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, said this as one of the special guests at the one day sensitization talk to mark the year 2020 World Sexual Health Day organized by the Ray of Hope Community Foundation at Abekoko, Ifo Local Government Area.
Oladeinde while emphasizing on the theme of the event, "Sexual Pleasures in Times of COVID 19" enjoined women to assess their level of Sexual health as well as clear up any gap in their knowledge, saying there was bound to be direct and indirect impact of COVID 19 on relationships.
She therefore urged women to note the emotional and physical effects of Sexual health practices during this pandemic period.
While delivering the lecture at the event, Mrs. Ishola Omolara , a health practitioner shared lots of her experiences on issues relating to Sexual health of adolescents, as well as challenges faced while growing up.
Omolara said that parents and caregivers were likely to commit errors in raising the adolescents if care is not taken, urging them to break down social and cultural taboos associated with asexuality in order to promote positive sexual health habits around the world during this pandemic period.
