Traders in Ijebu-Ode have been charged to ensure cleanliness of their shops and market environs to promote wellbeing and healthy society.
The Transition Committee Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile, gave the charge when he joined Ogun State Public Works
Agency (OGPWA) to inspect ongoing construction of roads and clearing of drainages on Abeokuta road, Oshinubi, New Road and Fusigboye in Ijebu-Ode.

the drainages were constructed to pave way for water flow, imploring them to support government in promoting a cleaner environment.
"The drainages in this Area have been blocked for a long time but we want to thank His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the quick intervention through the Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA). We don't want our traders to display their goods on the drainage or drops refuse in the drainages. Cultivate the habit of dumping your wastes appropriately",

He also warned against untoward habits of digging, pouring of waste water, especially from car wash facilities, repairing of vehicle, burning of tyres
on roads, as well as cooking on roadsides.
