SAGAMU LG ASSURES EVEN DISTRIBUTION OF INFRASTRUCTURES, BEGINS ROAD REHABILITATION

          Residents of Sagamu Local Government have been assured of even distribution of infrastructures, as the Council continues to make every effort to develop communities in the area.

          The Chairman, Transition Committee of the Council, Hon. Gbenga Banjo gave the assurance while inspecting some ongoing rehabilitation projects, saying his administration, in conjunction with some political appointees, representing Sagamu constituency embarked on the projects to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.

          He enumerated projects under rehabilitation to include, Ogunyanwo road in Sagamu West, Oja-Oba Junction in Sagamu central, Eriyo River Bridge and Oke Oniburuku Fakale Bridge in Ogijo.

          The Chairman who solicited for the State government's support to complete the projects, urged residents to be patient, as palliative measures were being put in place to ensure the roads were motorable, especially during rainy season, warning them against dumping of refuse in drainages and waterways to avoid flooding.

          Speaking, the Baale of Oke Oniburuku, Fakale, Ogijo, Chief Ajose Olowu, appreciated government for the palliative and construction of bridge on the two rivers, revealing that many people, including cars and motorbike sank in them during past heavy rains.

          The Vice Chairman, Ifekowajo CDC, Mr. Wahab Akinjobi while saying that the federal road links Sagamu, Odongunyan, Ogijo to Eastern part of the country and about 185 communities within Ogijo, solicited government support for its completion, as it would generate more revenue.

          A resident, Mr. Folorunso Awosanya, and a trader, Mrs. Selimot Ogunlana, thanked the LG authority for the timely intervention, pledging the people's support to government's programmes and policies.
