LOCKDOWN ORDER: SAGAMU RESIDENTS URGED TO BE LAW ABIDING
Chairman, Transition Committee, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Banjo (Baruwa) has personally carried out the lockdown enforcement order, put in place by the Federal and Ogun State Governments in his council area.
Hon. Gbenga, while at various check point ensured that all vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles that did not fall into the categories of essential workers were apprehended and handed over to the Police.
Speaking with journalist, he enjoined residents of Sagamu to be law abiding and strictly adhere to government's order at this critical period, adding that, ‘’Covid-19 is real, everyone should stay at home and use the period to pray fervently’’.
The Chairman, during the enforcement exercise, distributed facemask to the law enforcement agents, including the Police, so-safe, vigilante and others at various checkpoints in Falawo Market, Sabo, Ijoku, High court junction and Remo secondary school roundabout, all in Sagamu.
He appreciated the law enforcement agencies in the area for their cooperation and dedication to duties, charging them not to rest on their oars.
