MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS GIVES OUT SECOND PHASE OF THE RELIEF MATERIALS
In fulfilment of the state government's promise to distribute another batch of relief materials to the vulnerable groups in the state, the ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development gave out packs of "Gaari Ijebu", Beans, Sugar, Salts and Chips to 13 NGOs in charge of 650 vulnerable children in the state.
The commissioner for women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Efuwape, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Oluranti Oladeinde while presenting the packages to the NGOs at Stella Obasanjo Children's Home, Ibara, Abeokuta, appreciated the state government for the kind gesture towards the vulnerable children in the state.
Efuwape said, the relief packages were donated by the Women Support and Care Initiative to support the state government in providing for the vulnerable during this lockdown, adding that, it would not relent in its efforts to cushion the effect of lockdown directive of the federal government aimed at curbing the spread of COVID 19.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Tayo Adebanjo of Ray of Hope Organization, on behalf of other NGOs, appreciated the state government, saying it has done credibly well by providing food for the vulnerable children in the state.
