Baby Balkis Alabi was born 2 months ago and there was a complaint of fast breathing and poor weight gain from birth.

Upon intensive medical examination, it was discovered she was in RESPIRATORY DISTRESS; WAS CENTRALLY AND  PERIPHERALLY CYANOSED ( spO2=74%) and equally had TACHYPNEA AND A CARDIAC MURMUR.

According Dr. P.N. Tabansi, who is a Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, Echocardiography done gave a diagnosis of Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease -Transposition of the Great Arteries with Multiple Ventricular Septal Defects and a small Patent Ductus Arteriosus.

Baby Balkis is currently on Anti-heart failure medications and will require URGENT  CARDIAC SURGERY.

This Campaign started officially on the 6th of January, 2020.
