Ijebu-Ode RESIDENTS COMMEND OGSG ON ROAD REHABILITATION *
The on-going rehabilitation and palliative measures on some roads
in Ijebu-Ode by the Ogun State Public Works Agency (OSPWA) had received
accolades from residents in the area.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, a resident of Ayegbami
road, Mr. David Ojetunde, said the commencement of the road rehabilitation
would boost socio-economic activities of the area.
"The Ayegbami road leading to New Market had been abandoned by
motorists and this had really affected business activities in the area but
we thank God for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s intervention for the
rehabilitation of the road", Ojetunde said.
According to a trader at Degun area, Mrs. Otufowora Tinuke, the
palliative measure would ease flow of traffic for motorists in the axis, as
well as bring succour to passengers.
ATricycle Driver, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim and another resident, Mr.
Segun Babatunde said the rehabilitation across the city was a sign that the
government remained committed to infrastructural development, noting that
the gesture would bring relief to transporters.
Rehabilitation works are on-going on Ayegbami, Degun, Ashafa
eleruku, Oloda and Abeokuta road, all in Ijebu-Ode.
