Youths urge to Mix Education with Vocational skills As a means of been Independent.

Youths Across the State has been Advised to make use of Education and Vocational skills, which serves as a means of been Independent, to develop the Economy by bridging the demand and Supply gap with highly skilled workers.

This assertion was made known during the 2019 international youth Day, organised by the Ogun East Senatorial Youth Coalition in Ijebu-Ode Local Government.

Speaking on the theme of the programme " Transforming Education Through Technical & Vocational skills Inclusion"  Mr Odueko Olumide John said Youths should be equipped with the best possible Education and facilitated with favourable conditions to, through the attainment of their skills, be an asset to the Community and that way contribute actively adding to the development of the Society.

"Technical and Vocational skills make our Youths responsible and Independent, Technical Programme develop the Economy by bridging the demand and Supply gap with highly skilled workers. It can turn around the unemployment situation and Empower the unskilled pool of Youths and give them better future and career prospects " Odueko said.

He said Vocational course offers a fast track Education that assure a job placement and growth in the workplace, which helps the Youths to get job faster and also becoming a responsible citizen of the society.




Also speaking Hon Ladi Adebutu, represented by Hon Daisi Akiitan said the Government must provide necessary environment, while the Youths also have the Advantages and plan enough to do the right thing.

"They need Enlightenment, they need people to teach them the way. I believe our youths are good and responsible and they want to make something good out of life. So is the partnership between the Government and the Youths. The Youths are not asking too much, is just that the Government should play it's Roles " Adebutu said.

Earlier in his welcome Address, The President Ogun East Senatorial Youth Coalition Comrade Oriyomi olufemi said to achieve greatness pointer towards the Youths in our Senatorial District, we must collectively desire to form a workable synergy which will strive to achieve collective goals.
