We will continue to compliment Ogun health Sector - CHAN

Christian health Association of Nigeria (CHAN) has reiterate at continue to compliment the Efforts of the Ogun State Government in the health Sector so as to give More qualitative health care to the Communities and particularly in the difficult to reach areas of the State.

This was made known when the Ogun State chapter of CHAN Association paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State House Assembly Complex in Abeokuta.

Speaking during the visit , The Chairman of Ogun State chapter of CHAN, Rev. FR. Christopher Oluola Ogunnupebi said apart from supporting and enhancing Mission Institutes, The association also gives out qualitative health care to the Communities through there facilities in Ogun State which includes Babcock University Teaching Hospital, ilishan, Sacred Heart Hospital Lantoro, Abeokuta, St. John's clinic, odo- Egbo, Ijebu-Ode and Many others

REV. Ogunnupebi Represented by Mr Chris Njoku Appreciated the state government on some of the Mission Health Facilities that has Enjoyed the Government Support in the form of Projects on MALARIA-RDTS, Drugs and Mosquito nets, The Tuberculosis Projects and intervention, Immunizations Projects and their Vaccines.

He said the association seek the State government intervention in the Aspect of Provision of Access Road to Many of the rural Health Facilities, Provision of Electricity Transformer to many of the high volume mission Health institutions and Inclusion of more CHAN (mission Institute) MIs in the State Community health insurance Scheme, such as Araya.

Mr Omorebokhae David, The Director Advocacy and Communication of the Association said CHAN is an umbrella organization for the Mission hospitals saying the Association observed that Ogun State have reputable hospitals and the Oldest mission hospital, The Scared Heart hospital Lantoro is Situated in the State.

" CHAN as an organization complimenting the efforts of the Government at Making sure that Adequate qualitative health care is given to all. We are proud to say out of 10 people, 4 get his or her health services from the Mission hospitals, though Ogun State Government has been supporting the Association." David said.

He however made it known that the Association want a permanent responsibility of the Government for the Mission hospitals saying the Association has come up with a bill which the Ogun house Of Assembly can help to look into.

Responding, The clerk of the house, Engineer Lanre Bisiriyu Appreciate the visit of the Association and also informed the Association not to forget the Ministry of Health in whatever the will be doing has the Ministry is in charge of the health care delivery to the people of Ogun State.
