Ogun Youths to be empowered on skills Acquisition.
As part of reducing the level of unemployment in the State, Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Ebunlobinrin foundation has present an Opportunity for the Youths on Empowerment and Employment package, tagged " Youth Entrepreneurial Innovative Investment Scheme" (YEIIS).
This was made known when the team from the Ebunlobinrin foundation played host to the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government recently.
The Scheme which is targeted toward breeding the next Generation of Youths entrepreneurial giant who are ready to contribute positively to the Nation's Economic growth.
Arch. Gbolade Oduwole, the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government said the Empowerment program is a welcome idea that will enable our teaming Youths to get engage on something tangible rather than been an idle hand.
" Empowerment programmes is one Aspect that my Administration want to make use in curbing the Unemployment among our teaming Youths in the Council Area. This initiative is a timely one that will be of benefit to the Youths in the state Generally. " Oduwole said.
Speaking earlier , The President of the foundation, Hon. Tope Okoya said the aim of the Empowerment and Employment package for the Youths is to reduce the level of unemployment to the barest minimum as far as they are willing to revamp their Entrepreneurial skills as a great means to an end, taking advantage of this brilliant idea.
She said a day seminar will launch the Youth Entrepreneurial Innovative Investment Scheme (YEIIS) at Abeokuta on 26th April, 2017. Adding that after the Seminar, All Youths will be Categorized according to their professions, skills already acquired and their needs.
Okoya hinted that partner Banks will be encouraged to offer Loan facilities to participants for business start up, Business or production expansion after proper Evaluation while participants with needed qualifications will be offered Employment on merit by the Cooperate Organization partners supporting the (YEIIS) program saying ten Organization is already on the list.
